Typical course content
1st Day: 10.00am. Introductions. Housekeeping, safety etc.
Slideshow of raw materials, before and after.
Discussion of materials and their possible uses.
Ideas re possible projects and feasibility.
Drawings and plans.
2nd Day: 10.00am. Meet and travel to 1st beach. Search.
Packed lunch on the beach.
Travel to 2nd beach. Search. Return to base.
Deposit finds. Possibly start work on projects.
3rd Day 10.00am.
Start making projects.
Carry on till 4.00pm when we finish and go home with
completed items and knowledge of where to look and what you can do with beach finds.
Strong waterproof shoes/boots for beach walking.
Sturdy bag, sharp knife e.g. Stanley knife and spare blades.
Power tools and their use. Tea and coffee
when at base. Glues. Hand tools, clamps etc and their use.
